Darcy is an Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist with over thirty years oncology nursing experience and has worked with individuals who are at increased risk or who are living with breast cancer in a variety of practice settings including inpatient care, clinical trials, survivorship and palliative care, and was the first Oncology Nurse Navigator at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Delaware where she developed and implemented the role in the Christiana Care Breast Center at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center and Research Institute. In addition to her clinical experience, she has held leadership positions in the local and national chapters of the Oncology Nursing Society as well as served on the Board of Directors of the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, the Delaware Chapter of the American Cancer Society and is currently on the Professional Advisory Board of the Cancer Support Community Delaware. She has authored articles, books chapters, online courses as well as presented locally, nationally and internationally on multiple breast oncology topics and is a past recipient of the Pearl Moore Making a Difference Award. Darcy is passionate about mentoring new oncology nurses and in helping patients maximize their quality of life.
